Make sure you are present for The Marlborough Players'      next production:

'Absent Friends'

by Alan Ayckbourn

Acerbic and painfully funny, 'Absent Friends' explores friendship, marriage and what it ultimately means to be happy. The play takes place in the home of Paul, a philandering self-made businessman and his nervy wife Diana, who knows he has been unfaithful. They, along with other friends, have organised a tea party for one of their oldest friends, Colin, whose fiancée has recently drowned. The assembled company dread his arrival, and agonise over what they can say to comfort him.

With both hilarious and tragic results that mingle tears and laughter, Ayckbourn brilliantly portrays the characters’ fear of talking about their emotions in a play that has been hailed by critics as 'the best fun you can have in the West End today' (The Sunday Telegraph).

Directed by Sue Baxter, 'Absent Friends' plays at Marlborough Town Hall from 25th to 28th March 2015 at 7.30pm.

We feel it is time to update the list so that it more accurately reflects our membership and the extent to which everyone wishes to be be involved with productions.

With that in mind we have devised a short survey, consisting of only five  questions, which we hope you will be able to complete.

Thank you in advance for your help. COMPLETE THE SURVEY
